Snowboard expedition Mount Elbrus Russia September 2006

After Kilimanjaro it was time to climb the Elbrous, where we were the first Belgians to descend this mountain with a snowboard.
Russian: Stratovolcano in the Greater Caucasus, in the southwest of the Russian Autonomous Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, near the border with Georgia and the Karachay-Cherkessia Autonomous Republic. The volcano, which has been dormant for about 2000 years, is the highest mountain in Europe, Russia and the Caucasus at 5642 m. The mountain has two peaks and the meaning of the name Elbrus is therefore two peaks.
